Fire Safety Mock Drill – January 2026 at Samarth Diamond
Promoting Safety Awareness and Emergency Preparedness
On 27th January 2026, Samarth Diamond successfully organized a comprehensive Fire Safety Mock Drill at Samarth House, Visnagar, reinforcing its strong commitment to workplace safety and emergency preparedness. The large-scale safety exercise was conducted systematically across Morning, Evening, Night, and General shifts, ensuring that every team member had the opportunity to participate without disrupting production operations.
Approximately 2000 employees actively participated in the fire safety drill, making it one of the most extensive safety awareness initiatives conducted within the organization. The program aimed to build practical understanding of emergency procedures and strengthen employee readiness in the event of a real fire emergency.
Realistic Emergency Simulation
The fire safety mock drill recreated realistic emergency scenarios to help employees practice quick and organized responses. Fire alarms were activated, evacuation routes were followed, and teams gathered at designated assembly points where headcounts were conducted to ensure accountability.
Safety wardens played a key role in guiding employees during the evacuation process, ensuring that everyone followed the correct procedures calmly and efficiently.
Professional Guidance and Safety Demonstrations
The drill was supervised by professional fire safety experts, who demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers, hoses, and other safety equipment. Employees were introduced to the internationally recognized RACE protocol, which stands for:
Rescue – Ensure the safety of people in immediate danger
Alarm – Raise the alarm and notify emergency responders
Contain – Prevent the fire from spreading
Extinguish – Use firefighting equipment when safe to do so
Participants also practiced identifying emergency exits, escape routes, and staircase procedures, helping them respond effectively under pressure.
Focus on High-Risk Areas
Special attention was given to high-risk operational zones such as manufacturing units, where fire hazards may be higher. Training sessions included guidance on electrical safety measures, safe chemical handling practices, and emergency response protocols relevant to these environments.
The drill also helped identify a few minor improvement areas, which were immediately discussed during post-drill feedback sessions conducted after each shift.
Strong Participation and Positive Response
Management appreciated the disciplined and cooperative participation shown by employees throughout the exercise. With nearly 2000 participants, the drill demonstrated the strong safety culture embedded within Samarth Diamond.
Regular safety drills like these help develop muscle memory for emergency situations, enabling employees to react quickly and confidently when seconds matter.
Commitment to Continuous Safety Improvement
Employee safety remains a top priority at Samarth Diamond. The organization continues to conduct routine safety training and fire drills to maintain high standards of workplace protection.
By integrating safety practices into everyday operations and ensuring participation across all shifts, Samarth Diamond reinforces its commitment to proactive safety management, employee well-being, and compliance with industry-leading safety standards.
